Torquay sits on Tor Bay on the English Riviera in south Devon. Royal Torbay Yacht Club, founded in 1867, is the town's long-established yacht club, running club racing, cruising and RYA training from its harbourside base. Torquay harbour is also home to an RYA-recognised powerboat and keelboat training operator, and to the Disabled Sailing Association, a charity that has run sailing trips for disabled members since 2005.
Tor Bay is a wide, sheltered bay on the south Devon coast, giving Torquay harbour calm water for racing, training and charter trips close to open sea.
