Activities
Hastings & St Leonards Sailing Club offers a range of dinghy sailing and social events from the end of March to the middle of December. The club provides a racing programme, including open meetings, as well as opportunities for more informal sailing. Racing usually takes place on Sundays and the current fleets are a Laser fleet, a general handicap fleet and a catamaran fleet. The club is a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) approved training establishment providing beginner to advanced level courses. A youth section is based around the RYA youth training scheme. The clubhouse and boathouse are situated under the promenade on the seafront in St Leonards. Drop by any Sunday morning during the season to have a look around and talk to members who will be happy to welcome you aboard. In the summer, the club is also open on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The club is run by its members who play a part in the support activities that keep the club operating and have made it a vibrant centre for sailing since its foundation in 1953.
