Whitefriars Sailing Club

We are RYA training centre which means that we can get you sailing especially if you have never done it before, but we can also help you if you haven’t sailed for a while and feel a bit rusty, or if you want to develop particular areas of your sailing skills. We also have specialist sailing groups such as: Juniors – for ages 7 to 18, Women on the Water, Radio Controlled Yachts. We are an inclusive club, with access to equipment with adaptions for people who may have limited mobility, or a disability, together with the affiliated Sailability@Whitefriars group who operate alongside the club. We are known for being the friendly club, and we are very proud of that, but we are also really proud that over the last 50 years we have been able to develop the club to offer a wide range of sailing to suit everybody’s needs. Whatever your age or sailing ability, die-hard racer, newcomer to sailing or you simply love mucking about on the water, here at The Whitefriars Sailing Club our focus is on making sailing fun and accessible for all. Situated on the stunning Cotswold Water Park, Whitefriars is run by the members for the members.  We believe that by striking a healthy balance between competition and fun we can give everyone access to the same opportunities to learn, improve and participate as much or as little as they want. That’s why we offer a diverse range of on and off the water activities, including racing, cruising, an extensive RYA training programme and a whole host of social activities for all the family.  Proud to be one of the top clubs in the UK for our Sailability capabilities, our friendly team of enthusiastic volunteers support this varied programme throughout the year.
