About Cargreen Yacht Club

We are one of the friendliest sailing clubs on the River Tamar on the Cornwall side, with thriving cadet section and both shallow and deepwater swinging moorings just two miles upstream from the Tamar bridges and five miles from Plymouth. The Club was formed in 1972 and has an attractive clubhouse, overlooking the river Tamar, which was built in 1993 with the help of a lottery grant. Facilities include a bar, galley and meeting rooms plus showers and changing rooms. We are RYA affiliated and an RYA OnBoard club. The grounds provide plenty of space for car parking and storage of dinghies and tenders. A causeway allows all-tide access to the club’s 140 or so non-drying moorings. A variety of social occasions, at the clubhouse and afloat further afield, are organised throughout the year. In addition there is an active Cadet section for 10 to 18 year olds.
