Whitby Yacht Club

Whitby Yacht Club provides a full programme of sailing and powerboating throughout the season, April to October. There is a friendly and adventurous cruising section with racing catered for by a wide-ranging series of competitions and events. Whitby Yacht Club prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and social scene, making it the perfect place to enjoy sailing and powerboating on the Yorkshire Coast. Our clubhouse is located in an enviable position on Pier Road above the RNLI Museum providing unsurpassed harbour and sea views. Whitby is situated on the North East Yorkshire Coast. It is well known for its historical connections to Captain James Cook the famous explorer, and William Scoresby, a whaling captain and inventor of the crow's nest and last but certainly not least Bram Stoker, the author of Dracula which has its opening chapters set in Whitby.
