Waldringfield Sailing Club

Waldringfield Sailing Club is located on the river Deben. Club activities are focused on three main areas: dinghy racing, sail training and yachting. Dinghy racing is on Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. It is largely aimed at fleet racing, with only a few handicap races during the year. The strong junior and adult fleets are the envy of clubs throughout the country. The club provides a number of formal training courses for people of all abilities. Members can choose an official course to suit their needs. Many of our classes also offer informal training. Our yachting members are into cruising with cruises organised through the year. A number of yachting members come down for supper on Wednesday evenings. Though we have very little yacht racing these days, some of our yachts take part in races on the neighbouring river Orwell.
