Downs Sailing Club

Downs Sailing Club was founded in 1949 on the beach in Deal, Kent. We provide a friendly, inclusive, family atmosphere ensuring a safe and fun environment in which anyone of any age can develop their sailing skills. We keep our membership fees as low as possible to encourage inclusivity across the local community. The club is run by its 200+ members with training, safety boat operations and race officer roles all fulfilled by club volunteers. The Clubhouse offers a large dining/event room with bar, kitchen and training room. We have modern changing rooms with showers and facilities for people living with disabilities. We are an RYA British Sailing Pathway Club and a registered RYA Training Centre for sailing, power boats and first aid. Come and have a chat with us on a Sunday morning or Friday evening (during the summer) if you’re interested in joining us. We hope to see you out on the water soon!
