Aberystwyth University Sailing Club

Aberystwyth University Sailing Club welcomes sailors and non-sailors of all abilities. From weekly socials to beach bonfires, national team racing to calm day sails, there’s something for all abilities and tastes! Membership grants you access to our fleet of Fireflies and Laser 2s during our sailing sessions which run from the boathouse as often as the weather permits. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids are also available to borrow. Sailing sessions will vary from relaxed cruising to race training, and we tailor them to suit all abilities. The view from the water also gives you a unique perspective of Aberystwyth, one which few other clubs can offer. This year we will be competing in events such as the Welsh Dragon (hosted by Cardiff) as well as Varsity against Bangor Uni. These are great introductions to team racing and are important events in the social calendar, giving you the chance to meet other sailors from universities across the nation.
