Yealm Yacht Club

The Yealm Yacht Club is located on Riverside Road East, just along from The Cross at the bottom of Newton Hill. Our address is Yealm Yacht Club, Riverside Road East, Newton Ferrers, PL8 1AE. If visiting by car please note that there is no parking outside the club and parking in the village generally is extremely limited, especially in the summer. Some space may be available on Yealm Road to the west of the CoOp, but please consider local residents! If visiting by boat, Newton Creek empties rapidly and you should check your Pilot, Tide Tables, and conditions to avoid your tender becoming stranded on mud! As a very general guide, heavily subject to wind and pressure and at your own risk the creek is navigable up to the club slip for tenders while the tide as predicted at River Yealm Entrance is above 3m. There are no deep moorings or a road trailer-accessible slipway at the club, so you are advised to moor at one of the two visitor pontoons near the mouth of the creek, leave your tender at the Harbour Office pontoon and walk from there.
