Activities
Yaverland Sailing & Boating Club founded in 1978 is located at the northern end of Sandown Bay on the southeast coast of the Isle of Wight. We are a multi-water sport club run by members for members and, as the name suggests, is not only home to sailing boats but our members own a huge variety of water craft including small motorised Fishing boats, Jet Skis, Ribs, Paddleboards/Kayaks & Canoes and as well as a selection of mono and multi-hull sailing craft. Our facilities include spacious Club Room with outside BBQ area, Changing & Shower rooms and secure Sail/Gear Store. Access to the sandy beach is via a Public Slipway at most states of tide and the club tractors are available to assist launching when booked by members. Free Car Parking is available on site to Club Members. Yaverland S & B Club have hosted various community & water sport events over the years. In 2021 the club hosted the Sprint/Dart 15 Sports Nationals with Shanklin Sailing Club.
