About West Wittering Sailing Club

West Wittering Sailing Club was founded in 1950 to support the sailing needs of village residents. For information on becoming a member click here. We sail out of Snowhill Creek which is behind East Head at the entrance of Chichester Harbour. Our season starts in April (or around Easter, if earlier) and ends in early October. Dinghy races are held most weekends when the tide permits, mainly on a handicap basis. On suitable weekdays the cruising members sail down the harbour, on the tide, to one of the other clubs for lunch. During the school holidays there are a number of Junior training events along with a Junior Week which is a fun mixture of informal training, racing and destination sails. We are an RYA Accredited Training Centre but are sorry that we can only offer training or rent boats to Club Members.
