About Strangford Sailing Club
Strangford Sailing Club is situated on the shores of Castleward Bay, overlooking the beautiful Strangford Narrows to Portaferry. Established in 1946 the Club is an RYA recognised Training Club with a very active Youth Section who sail Toppers, Lasers & Optimists. Our club also boasts two adult fleets of Flying Fifteens and RS 400s who sail all year round. Our Cruiser fleet consists of up to 25 yachts who regularly sail to Scotland, Isle of Man and Iceland. The Club’s highlight event is the Bar Buoy & Narrows Series which consists of 4 days of sailing in the Narrows and Strangford Lough. This event regularly attracts over 100 boats from across Ireland and Scotland.
