Spinnaker Sailing Club Ltd

Within our Clubhouse is a hot drinks machine, with tea, coffee and hot chocolate available all for £1.50 a cup. Members can access this machine at any time. For some specific organised events such as our Thursday morning Ladies and Social Sailing sessions, and on organised Family Fun Days we also provide tea and coffee from our front galley free of charge to our members. The Club also has a small licensed bar which sells soft drinks, and beer, wine and lager when open, usually on a Wednesday Evening after Club Racing, Friday Evening Club Nights, and occasionally on Sundays when special activities are planned. Due to the licence we hold as a community organisation alcohol may only be sold to members and their guests. Organised groups, such our Group Members including New Forest Sailability and Sandleheath Sea Scouts, and visiting groups such as Class Association Training Squads or similar can book the "Front Galley" to enable the provision of hot drinks to their participants. Next to the clubhouse we have 3 purpose built brick BBQs which are available for members to use at any time! All we ask is that you please don't use all 3 BBQs at once so someone else can join you for a social cooking session! Please do not have BBQs anywhere else within the club grounds to minimise the risk of inadvertent fires. As a small club Spinnaker Sailing Club currently has no regular provision of food. During the summer period we have fish & chips from our local takeaway approximately every 4 weeks after racing on a Wednesday evening. Several of our classes (particularly the Junior Fleet and Firefly/Team Racing group) have organised socials involving takeaway pizza, curry or Chinese food. For larger events we organise for external caterers to come in and provide refreshments, for example at our large team racing events we routinely book in a catering van either for burgers/hotdogs/bacon rolls or a wood fired pizza van!.
