About The Royal Welsh Yacht Club

The RWYC has a regular cruising programme with sailings to local areas and occasionally (weather permitting) to venues further afield. The Club also hosts a race day in the annual Menai Strait Regatta where other local clubs join for this traditional event. The club has three Celtic Sea Rowing long boats and two yoles available for use by full members during regular sessions which are held each week. Races against other clubs take place throughout the season, including a Castle to Castle race from Beaumaris Castle to Caernarfon Castle. For all members, including those who do not participate in water activities, there is an active social programme with regular dinners, seasonal parties and barbecues, quizzes, winter lectures and other events.
