About Holy Loch Sailing Club SCIO

The Holy Loch Sailing Club was formed in 1888, so has a proud history of sailing on the Clyde. The current club facilities date from 1973 and our latest addition is that from 19 September 2023 we have been approved as a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation). The racing fleet has waxed and waned over the years and currently consists of a mixture of vessels. Piper and flying 15s form the largest classes, ISO dinghies are popular too. The white sails are a very mixed bunch with a few Sonatas. If you're interested in sailing then please drop in and see us. You don't have to have your own boat to participate, let's face most have a crew. For the under 18s we provide RYA training at very low cost, no need for a boat, just enthusiasm and a wetsuit.
