About Beadnell Sailing Club

We are situated on the beautiful Northumberland coast at Beadnell, with the only West facing harbour on the North East coast. A wide variety of dinghies are sailed here, and raced using a handicap system, with some class racing for Lasers and Toppers. Moored craft are maximum LOA 20 ft. and sit on drying moorings on the beach. Sailing for dinghies is in Beadnell Bay which in most conditions offers safe sea sailing at high tide. Moored craft cruise to Holy Island and the Farne Islands to the North, and Craster and Alnmouth to the South. The Clubhouse provides changing and shower facilities with a large Club Room, galley and Wet Room. The outside decking offers superb views of the sailing, set against the magnificent backdrop of Dunstanburgh Castle. Beadnell Sailing Club was founded by Major Burton in 1935 and is a small family club, run by members, for members. Racing is scheduled for most Sundays and we run a summer Sailing Week for members, with daily activities on and off the water. For further details and joining information please contact us.
