About Arran Yacht Club

Formed in 1956 to promote the sport of sailing on the Isle of Arran, the club is based at Lamlash Pier and as well as owning its premises has a long term lease on the Pier and adjoining shore. Lamlash Harbour is an ideal area for sailing with relatively sheltered waters and scenery to die for. From the water you get views of Lamlash Village, Holy Isle and the hills behind, including Goat Fell. We have facilities for outside storage of boats of all sizes, a 10 tonne capacity boat lift and indoor storage for a limited number of dinghies. Anybody wishing to use these facilities should contact a member of committee. Visitors are always welcome and can join and store their boat for the duration of their holiday. All we ask is they contact the Secretary or Treasurer beforehand. Arran Yacht Club is a registered RYA Training Centre and from time to time runs Powerboat and Dinghy sailing courses in conjunction with Arran Junior Sailing Club.
