Usage Guidelines

Keep the mark legible, give it room to breathe, and don't recolour outside the palette.

Do

  • Maintain clear space equal to the height of the sailboat icon around the logo.
  • Use the dark variant on dark backgrounds and the light variant on light backgrounds.
  • Keep a minimum width of 96px for the landscape lockup so the wordmark stays readable.
  • Prefer the SVG version wherever possible for crispness at any size.

Don't

  • Stretch, skew or rotate the logo.
  • Recolour the icon or wordmark outside of the brand palette.
  • Add drop shadows, gradients or strokes to the wordmark.
  • Place the logo on busy photography without a contrasting backdrop.

The SailHQ name, logo and wordmark belong to HQ Software Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17341989. Press and partners may use these assets to refer to SailHQ. For anything else, email support@sailhq.app.

Checked country guidance

Keep the provincial route visible.

Sail Canada sets national programmes and prescriptions. Provincial associations handle club membership and many local services.

Record the route through Sail Canada.

Canadian clubs become Sail Canada members through their provincial sailing association. Sail Canada programmes and services are delivered through those provincial bodies.

What the club record should hold.

Keep the PSA name, membership return status, member categories and board owner in the club record.

Check federal and provincial privacy laws.

PIPEDA usually applies when a nonprofit carries out commercial activity. Provincial privacy laws can apply instead of, or alongside, federal rules.

What the club record should hold.

Record the province, coverage decision, privacy officer and breach assessment route for each data set.

Track CANSail qualifications.

CANSail is Sail Canada's national dinghy and skiff training programme. Clubs should record the level and the training provider.

Use Sail Canada prescriptions.

Canadian race documents should identify Sail Canada Prescriptions for the current World Sailing cycle. Offshore organizers also review the Special Regulations.
